Greetings!                                September 2007

As we resume our fall schedules, many of us are getting serious about setting up a healthy routine for our bodies.  In this issue, we are reminded to contact our therapist for a "check up" visit through Direct Access.  We also can benefit from Dr. Bob Gorinski's article about sitting and PT.  We are also proud to present an article that appeared in a National PT Magazine, featuring the work of Alan Weismantel, PT, of our Hanover Office. Please pass the news on the friends and family by adding them to our email newsletter list!

Fall Tune Up
by Chip O'Malley, PT, OCS

You finished physical therapy a few months ago but now that pain seems to be coming back!   Maybe the fall chores stirred things up and now you just don't know what to do.  Your therapist gave you a program to excercise to maintain your goals but - "Where did I put that now?"  Does this sound familiar to you?

Sit - sit - sit - sit - sit. We create a body that is thoroughly adapted to sitting, then "ask" it to throw, reach, lift, and run. Are resulting injuries any surprise?
