logo tile "Care of your feet is critical if you are diabetic," says Mark McDonald, MPT, Cped.  "Diabetes results in poor circulation with healing, foot deformity and decreased sensation in the foot."  He states that these problems can lead to callusing with ulcers that, without proper shoe wear with orthotic support, can lead to amputation.

Although Old Man Winter waited until late in the season to bring snow to Central Pennsylvania, the physical therapists at First Choice Rehab are concerned about reducing the number of injuries that may occur from shoveling snow.
