Greetings!                              February, 2008

In February, we see images of hearts everywhere!  We are reminded that physical therapists support the US Surgeon General's recommendation that moderate-intensity physical activity done five or more times a week (such as 30 minutes of brisk walking) has substantial health benefits to people of all ages.  Benefits include reducing risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, colon cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure as well as helping weight control and relieving pain associates with some forms of arthritis.

Keep on walking!

Success Story - Dorothy Reed!

by Dorothy Reed,  Patient - First Choice Rehab

TrophyI was pleased with the therapy I received.  The pain in my back is much better.  Before my therapy, I was down on the floor.  I couldn't get up unless I crawled to a chair.  Now I don't need to do that.
