As the landscape becomes greener and
the days become longer, our thoughts turn to keeping
active outdoors in our gardens, taking walks and
emjoying nature. Back pain can keep you from enjoying
many of these activities, so this month, take a tip
from two of our therapists, Mark Smith, PT and Bob
Gorinski, DPT, who offer advice on managing pain. For

New Location for West Hanover Township Office
Beginning April 14, 2008, doors will open on the
brand new office of First Choice Rehabilitation
in West Hanover Township. Formerly located
inside Platinum Health and Fitness Club, the
clinic has moved across the street to the "Kokomos"
complex in greatly expanded new facilities.

Take a Load Off
Your Spine

Most of us would not walk around all day on a
sprained ankle. However we frequently walk
around all day on a "sprained" back. If you
experience back pain, one of the first things
you can do is take the weight off of your
spine. Frequently we forget that the low back
or lumbar spine is a weight bearing point.

the difference between chiropractors and PT's,"
you ask?
While having a certain level of
understanding regarding the rehab profession as
a whole, I'm not qualified to answer that
question. I've committed to traveling down one
path. I do know that all physical therapists
are not the same, and can assume it's no
different with chiropractors. Surely some are
better than others.
